 One thing is certain, the new version of MLT does increment the dylib
 compatibility_version from 2 to 3 and installs libmlt.3.dylib while the
 existing kdenlive install is linked against libmlt.2.dylib, which was
 removed when deactivating the old mlt version.
 In MacPorts, can a mlt port upgrade force an installed kdenlive port to be
 upgraded?
