 This worked! I indeed had the file /usr/bin/gfortran (which was a link to
 /usr/bin/gfortran-4.2). Moved it out of the way, and now libtool brings in
 the libltdl.dylib file (which itself is a link to libltdl.7.dylib). And
 Imagemagick compiles and install fine.
 Thanks for your help. Not sure where I got this gfortran from (another
 macports install, likely).
