 I am able to download the file successfully from
 ftp://ftp.lip6.fr/pub/gnu/gettext and its checksums match those in the
 Portfile; not sure why it's not working for you. Check the distfile that
 got downloaded
 (/opt/local/var/macports/distfiles/gettext/gettext-0.18.1.1.tar.gz)—how
 big is it? It should be 15139737 bytes. If it's less, it's incomplete; try
 again. Maybe try [wiki:ProblemHotlist#fetch-failures downloading it
 manually from another server].
