 Why do you have strange characters like "â" in your log?

 What exact version of Mac OS X 10.6 do you have? You should update to
 version 10.6.8 if you are not running it. Also, you should update Xcode to
 3.2.6 and try again.

 It builds fine for me with Mac OS X 10.6.8 and Xcode 3.2.6.
