 I've done some research.

 It looks like
 [http://web.archive.org/web/20050204014226/http://prothon.org/pycsnews.htm
 Prothon was retired in 2004], to be replaced by a new language PyCs.

 PyCs' domain pycs.org belongs to someone else now as well.
 [http://web.archive.org/web/20040927225034/http://pycs.org/ PyCs changed
 its name to Spry] in 2004.

 Spry's domain spry-lang.org belongs to someone else now as well. The last
 time the [http://web.archive.org/web/20050305172607/http://spry-lang.org/
 Spry web page] appears to exist is March 2005. I see evidence the domain
 spry.to was also used at one time, though it is unregistered now.

 I see [http://objectmix.com/python/745271-prothon-mark-hahn.html a post
 from someone in 2008 asking what ever happened to Prothon / PyCs / Spry],
 with no response.
