 python24 fails to build on my machine in the current version, yet python25
 and python27 build fine.

 This may have something to do with this line in my
 /opt/local/etc/macports/macports.conf, or maybe it's independent.

 "port info python24" says about this version:

 {{{
 python24 @2.4.6, Revision 9 (lang)
 Variants:             (+)universal
 ...
 }}}
