 Well the relevant error seems to be

 /bin/sh: line 1: 46346 Segmentation fault
 }}}
 But I don't quite see what's segfaulting, or why.

 Needless to say, python27 installs fine for me on 10.6.7, and most
 everybody else AFAIK. So there must be something unusual about your
 system.
