 Right. Neither of these are bugs in the port. Nothing to do here. For
 technical support with MacPorts, write to the macports-users list.

 I only want to add that MacPorts was not recommending or suggesting that
 you use "`-f`". Rather, MacPorts was stating that if you understand the
 consequences, then you can use "`-f`" to proceed. Using "`-f`" is however
 usually not what you want to do in this situation.
