 I thought that this might be a version selection issue, so I downloaded
 qt4_select and tried to use it.  This is what I saw:

 /Users/Jimbo[[BR]]
 $ qt4_select -s[[BR]]
 none

 /Users/Jimbo[[BR]]
 $ qt4_select -l[[BR]]
 Available versions:[[BR]]
 none

 /Users/Jimbo[[BR]]
 $ qt4_select -n qt4-mac[[BR]]
 version "qt4-mac" is invalid!

 Users/Jimbo[[BR]]
 $ qt4_select -n qt4-mac debug[[BR]]
 version "qt4-mac" is invalid!

 /Users/Jimbo[[BR]]
 $ qt4_select -n debug[[BR]]
 version "debug" is invalid!

 This is what port info says about qt4-mac:

 $ port info qt4-mac[[BR]]

 qt4-mac @4.7.3 (aqua)[[BR]]
