 That must be it.  I figured php5-tidy meant a package of tidy ready for
 PHP 5.n, not an entire PHP install.  I've already compiled PHP 5.2.17 on
 my own and simply want a few add on modules to round out Drupal 6
 development.

 What is the stand alone Tidy port that is compatible with php 5.2 that I
 can port without dragging along a ton of baggage?
