Alright, I have played around with it a little more.
It has the ability to work with SDL.
It also has a partial native cocoa interface.
According to the docs, the cocoa interface is not complete, "see mailing
list archive for details". The cocoa coreaudio driver causes kernel audio
driver bugs on my iBook G4 --

and similar just repeat multiple times.
Linking with SDL prevents the sound error, but makes the graphics update
much slower.
