 I tested all HTTP downloads of gsed and they all correctly return 200 OK
 (except the last-resort svn location, which correctly returns 404 Not
 Found). So there should be no problem.

 One of the download locations is on http://mirror.facebook.net/. Is it
 possible that your network is naively blocking all URLs containing the
 word "facebook"? Are you able to access http://mirror.facebook.net/?
 Again, what does the HTML in the downloaded file
 (/opt/local/var/macports/distfiles/gsed/sed-4.2.1.tar.gz) say?
