 I've uploaded a patch. The configure script that the developer has written
 assumes that it's always possible to build a universal. Since we don't
 need universal builds at all on MacPorts (I'm guessing, I don't really
 know, do we?) this patch just disables this. I'm sending it upstream as
 well.

 Sorry, I would patch the port file but I don't know the MacPorts internals
 at all.
