the port install and everything WILL work.
I did that in:
opt/local/var/macports/sources/rsync.macports.org/release/ports/graphics/netpbm/Portfile
and it DID work!
Thanks a lot. Perhaps this ticked should be reopened and this amendment
recorded in the main repository?
