New description:
Hi,
I've just installed a fresh new MacPort on my Snow Leopard (10.6.6) MBP
13".
First command I type is: "sudo port install dpkg"
A bunch of packages were installed then I got this message:
{{{
---> Computing dependencies for ncurses
---> Fetching ncurses
---> Verifying checksum(s) for ncurses
---> Extracting ncurses
---> Applying patches to ncurses
---> Configuring ncurses
---> Building ncurses
---> Staging ncurses into destroot
---> Computing dependencies for ncurses
---> Installing ncurses @5.8_1
---> Deactivating ncurses @5.8_0
---> Cleaning ncurses
---> Activating ncurses @5.8_1
---> Cleaning ncurses
---> Computing dependencies for dpkg
---> Building dpkg
Error: Target org.macports.build returned: shell command failed (see log
for details)
Error: Status 1 encountered during processing.
To report a bug, see <http://guide.macports.org/#project.tickets>
}}}
After that failure, to get more details, I rerun with "-d" flag as this:
"sudo port -d install dpkg"
the log is attached as debug.rtf and I also attach the referenced log
file.
