 I've upload a new Portfile, for the latest version. Who knows, maybe this
 one will work for you...

 Also, just an idea but if not could you try building ROOT for source
 outside macPorts. Just download the tarball from

 http://root.cern.ch/drupal/

 a simple

 {{{
 ./configure --disable-opengl
 make
 }}}

 worked for me. I'll upload the log of the build.
