 I have found that libsoup 2.30.2, as included with MacPorts does not work
 properly with IPv6. Specifically, I have a libsoup-based client that will
 not connect to a local service using the host's link-local IPv6 address.
 This address includes a zone index (ends in %en0).

 Upgrading libsoup to version 2.32.2 fixed the problem. With this version,
 the client works fine.
