 Yes you are correct. I do not have a /usr/bin/sed.  It looks like the
 /usr/bin/local/sed was added when I compiled gnuplot 4.0.0 from source.
 /usr/local was built either by gnuplot or some LaTeX utilities. Do I need
 to reinstall OS 10.5.8 and Xcode to get the properly configured
 /usr/bin/sed, then install gnuplot, etc from MacPorts?
