 The gcc45 4.5.3 package was released without addressing this ticket. I
 have updated the Portfile.diff [[BR]]
 for gcc45-4.5.3-1 to reflect the fact that only the i386-static.diff patch
 from dragonegg 2.9 is required [[BR]]
 for gcc 4.5.3.  Also note that the section for darwin11 is present to 1)
 insure --enable-fully-dynamic-string [[BR]]
 is used there and 2) work around the inability of Apple's llvm-gcc to
 build FSF gcc (which is a problem that [[BR]]
 clang doesn't share).[[BR]]

 ps Note that I have already gotten a dragonegg-gcc45 package into fink so
 MacPorts is lagging behind on this issue.
