 The demos variant fails to compile on Leopard because of a bug in GCC 4.0
 (see attached log). The fix is to use GCC 4.2 as
 [http://www.cgal.org/FAQ.html#mac_optimization_bug recommended] by the
 CGAL developers.

 A patch is attached.
