 I'm very new to MacPorts, so I apologize if this tickets has improper
 form. Attached are a Portfile diff and new source code diff to bring
 awesome up to version 3.4.10. This should fix bugs #28946 and #28081.

 I had to hack around a problem with iconv; not sure what the problem is.
 And I had to explicitly build cairo with xcb, but from my brief looking at
 the bugtracker that is a known problem with no good solution.

 It complains about dbus on launch, which I'm pretty sure I have running on
 my machine. It can't find the default config either. I reused/modified an
 existing config I had, but note that the default config includes some
 keycode keyboard bindings that do not work on OS X. I reported that bug
 upstream:

 Reverting the git commit in that bug report fixes the problem. Other than
 that, it seems to work beautifully!
