 `port clean installed` is a good start. The second part I'd recommend the
 forced upgrade route (paraphrasing, please check the man pages): `port
 upgrade --force installed`. If you knew the lowest common denominator you
 could use something like this: `port -R upgrade BOTTOM_PORT`
