 Since tortoisehg is a gui app, it might be nice to install an app in
 applications_dir, if that makes sense. The attached patch does this. What
 do you think? I see thg can be launched with various parameters on the
 command line. Are any of these essential to the program's use, or can all
 these functions be accomplished by launching it with no parameters and
 then selecting menus within the gui?

 This patch installs the app with a generic icon; getting it to use the
 tortoisehg icon is a separate matter that I'm still experimenting with
 (trying to use makeicns) but I wouldn't let the issue of the generic icon
 hold up the general issue of having something in applications_dir to
 doubleclick on.
