Comment:

 Committed in r79054 with these changes:

  * fixed whitespace (tabs to spaces) and formatting and added standard
 modeline
  * fixed maintainers line
  * removed md5 checksum, which we're trying to phase out of MacPorts
  * fixed UsingTheRightCompiler and the right build arch -- your reinplaces
 of `__CC__` and `__CFLAGS__` don't do anything because those strings do
 not appear in the Makefile
  * added universal variant
  * simplified destroot block a little
