 You mean: the archive couldn't be fetched, and that's not a problem
 because MacPorts will then proceed to try to fetch the source and build
 it.

 For me it went through dozens of gentoo mirror sites, failing to find the
 file at any of them, before finally succeeding in downloading the file
 from ftp://invisible-island.net/dialog/dialog-1.1-20111020.tgz. But if
 your network, like the one our distfiles mirror is connected to, does not
 allow you to do ftp traffic, then you won't be able to download that.

 We should add a working http mirror to the port, and remove the gentoo
 mirror group from it, which clearly doesn't have the file anywhere.
