 Thanks, after updating I can use the port with

 {{{
 export
 PYTHONPATH=/opt/local/Library/Frameworks/Python.framework/Versions/2.6/lib/python2.6
 /site-packages:
 }}}

 In that way it is not required to re-build mercurial with
 python.version=26.
