 This bug seems to originate upstream in src/Makefile.am:

 librdf_la_DEPENDENCIES = \
 @DIGEST_OBJS@ @HASH_OBJS@ \
 @LIBRDF_INTERNAL_LIBS@

 where the _LIBS variables are actually meant to be used as compiler
 options (as -lltdl) rather than dependencies
