 Unfortunately a patch posted by Kona8lend does not work here, but removal
 of {{{--enable-fully-dynamic-string}}} suggested by dports works fine.
 Thank you very much.

 OSX 10.6.8 with Xcode 3.2.6 (x86_64 and i386 universal), Macbook pro early
 2011
