 Removing `--enable-fully-dynamic-string` from the Portfile did the trick
 for me, see Kona8lend's patch. If you don't want to modify the base
 Portfile, you can put a copy in an overlay ports tree. By the way,
 removing that flag also fixes a similar double-free segfault I encounter
 with the Boost libraries (specifically, the program options library).
