 "gv: Unable to open the display".

 I have to open a new terminal window and log into the remote server again
 to get the gv work. After about 20 minutes, the same problem will show up
 again, i.e. type "gv" will get "gv: Unable to open the display" notice and
 everything about gv could not work anymore unless you open another new
 terminal window.

 This problem only happens on the new Mac OS X Lion system and has been
 confirmed by other two computers with Lion system installed. My old Tiger
 and Leopard or Snow Leopard systems never have this question. The remote
 server we used is Ubuntu 10.04 LTS version. The gv was installed via the
 MacPorts tools.
