 The apple-gcc42 Portfile says:

 # Needed for gfortran:
 # gmp and mpfr are not universal
 #universal_variant       no
 #depends_lib             port:gmp port:mpfr port:libiconv
 }}}

 gmp and mpfr have had universal variants for awhile now. Can this be
 enabled then?
