 The command was sudo launchctl unload
 /Library/LaunchDaemons/org.macports.tftpd.plist

 Another was sudo launchctl load -w
 /Library/LaunchDaemons/org.macports.tftpd.plist

 The output of ps -A is two rows,

 8964 ??         0:00.01 /opt/local/bin/daemondo --label=tftpd --start-cmd
 /opt/local/sbin/tftpd -L -s /opt/local/var/tftp-hpa/ ; --pid=exec

 and

 8965 ??         0:00.00 /opt/local/sbin/tftpd -L -s /opt/local/var/tftp-
 hpa/

 And launchctl repeated twice, on both invocations, the line

 launchctl: no plist was returned for:
 /Library/LaunchDaemons/org.macports.tftpd.plist

 The file exists and there seems to be nothing wrong with it.
