Comment:

 Has similar issue #31731 which is a build failure with the latest
 transmission on Snow Leopard.

 I filed [https://trac.transmissionbt.com/ticket/4590 upstream issue 4590]
 about this to gain clarification, and they explained that transmission
 requires the current version of Mac OS X to build. If built on the latest
 OS X, it can run on Leopard and up. But we have no way to do that in
 MacPorts, so I'll make the port require Lion.
