 I met this problem as well, and I finally successfully compiled mingw by
 modify the file which cause the segmentation fault: rope (on line 65 in
 the second main.log file Nikolay attached). I just removed the content of
 macro __ROPE_DEFINE_ALLOCS on line 417, and it works.

 In fact, I don't know why, but it seems to work fine without the content
 of that macro. However, I cannot promise that it won't cause any problem
 in the future, and I had no chance to test anymore because macports remove
 the files after successful compilation.
