 Some further progress on the python variant issues.

 it turns out it is possible to install any variant you want, as long as
 you run 'port select python pythonXY' on that python version first.

 So.... Is this a reasonable requirement to make ? Is there anyway we can
 enforce it in the Portfile. Would that even be reasonable ?
