 Speaking of the HPN variant, I'm responsible for it being there in the
 first place, but description{} didn't exist back then and my terse comment
 in the Portfile that turned into description{} was lacking...  Currently
 it's unclear to the average user why you would ever not want it (I like
 high performance!) when in fact it will slow down interactive ssh and be
 no different at best for file transfers unless you have a high bandwidth-
 delay network, which most people do not since they aren't in
 data/supercomputing centers or network research labs.

 Every time I see the HPN variant go by in a commit it bugs me, figured I'd
 finally say something about it.  Something like "apply HPN patch for high
 bandwidth-delay networks" would be much better and hopefully scare away
 most users from selecting it (since it's also not as
 debugged/hardened/maintained/etc as portable openssh either)
