 Hi Michelle: I did, indeed, setup the patches. And, as I mentioned,
 ajb78's original Portfile, with patches, builds just fine.

 It seems there is something with the unified port groups that is causing
 fetch to fail.  I've seen similar strangeness before, since 2.0.1, but I'm
 having a hard time remembering the specifics.  I may just be recalling
 #31073.

 BTW, has duplicate #27955?
