Comment:

 This is not a clean build log (it contains lines saying "Skipping
 completed"). Could you "sudo port clean glib2" and try again and then
 attach the new main.log?

 I'm not sure why it's complaining about
 [http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Executable_and_Linkable_Format ELF] things
 not being there, since ELF is never used on OS X.
