 At least patch gnuplot4_6_0-v2.diff needs a "-p1" argument for patch.
 Would be easier if patches submitted would not need the "-p" argument,
 since in that case the use of the trac-patch macro works out of the box by
 simply copying the patch's URL into the terminal like this:
