 Mine was an upgrade from Lion. In so far as having any LC_* variables set,
 I don't know what you are talking about. And I don't know how to set
 LC_ALL to C. I was just trying to reinstall the math/octave-devel port
 on Mountain Lion. I was able to reinstall just about everything else I
 wanted
 --- aquaterm, ghostscript, gnuplot, etc.
