New description:

 I'm using OS X 10.6.8 with XCode version 3.2.5. My version of MacPorts is
 2.1.2. I had the texlive-bibtex-extra port installed until I did a

 uninstalled the texlive-bibtex-extra port and tried to install it again.
 Now I get the following error.

Comment:

 "sudo port clean texlive-bibtex-extra" and try again. This is probably
 #29223.
