 Building AtomicParsley on Mountain Lion fails with

 Error: reinplace: sed: RE error: illegal byte sequence

 I see that this is described elsewhere as "a common problem in Mountain
 Lion with a simple fix", but I can't track down the fix.

 Can someone please apply and/or describe the fix?
