 I attempted to build with shared libraries, but "make install" does not
 use DESTDIR, and using "prefix=${destroot}${prefix}" instead (as it is in
 the Portfile) improperly designates the rpath of the shared libraries. I
 have some ideas about a fix to communicate upstream, but I do not have the
 time at the moment. The static libraries seem to work just fine.
