 The errors in the configure.log you attached begin with:

 error: stdlib.h: No such file or directory
 error: stdio.h: No such file or directory
 error: sys/types.h: No such file or directory
 error: time.h: No such file or directory
 error: string.h: No such file or directory
 error: sys/time.h: No such file or directory
 }}}

 These are all standard system headers that should be present if you have
 installed Xcode correctly. Are you sure you have installed the Xcode
 command line tools? This is a separate step you need to do from within
 Xcode's Preferences window's Downloads section.
