 Please try a clean install:

 $ sudo port clean gimp
 $ sudo port -d install gimp
 }}}
 If it fails attach the log file.

 In the future please note that there is no need to cc yourself if you
 create a ticket. And please leave priority untouched, it's reserved for
 macports developers. If you fill in keywords please stick to
 [wiki:DraftKeywordGuidelines]. And don't forget to cc the maintainer.
