 Esxcuse me, I did not look into the history of the port, but couldn't you
 just fetch the GeoLiteCity*.dat.gz from maxmind instead of recreating a
 tarball for it?

 Also, we usually do not attach binary files this large to tickets. Anyway,
 I guess you can now use this from here:

 }}}
 At least this would do for the initial mirroring and then it will be on
 distfiles.macports.org anyway.
