 Possible discovery, while trying to get a full clean build log with:

 {{{
 sudo port clean tk
 sudo port -skn upgrade --force --no-rev-upgrade tk
 }}}

 which resulted in a clean build with a full log, but installed the Quartz
 version (I had previously installed the x11 flavour).  So my hunch is that
 the Quartz build works, and the x11 flavour doesn't, for some reason.
 I'll attach the Quartz build log for reference, and then see if I can get
 a full rebuild log for the x11 flavour.  (I think I managed to switch back
 to the default, Quartz, flavour by interrupting one of the rebuilds after
 it'd deactivated the previous install but before it finished
 building/installing the new one; that probably doesn't count as a bug.)
