 Yes, of course - silly me :)

 ~> port installed | grep ffmpeg | grep active
   ffmpeg @1.0.1_0+gpl2 (active)
   mediatomb @0.12.1_6+ffmpeg+sqlite3+taglib (active)

 So I do not have ffmpeg-devel as I thought, this happens without that
 then, which only makes it worse.
