 Bummer. The only thing I can think of is that maybe there's a deadlock
 situation arising from building in parallel.

 Some googling reveals that libtool might be upset since the phrase
 "Waiting for $lockfile to be removed" appears
 [http://www.videolan.org/developers/libdvdcss/libtool here] and right
 below it suggests not doing a parallel build.

 I've removed parallel building from the Portfile.

 I couldn't recreate the problem on my end, so I can't verify my proposed
 patch.
