 Hi.  I replied to your bug report on savannah (and my apologies for
 missing that; I just discovered that I don't get email about those, I'm
 looking into it).

 Short answer: I agree with part of that patch, but I'm not sure about the
 other part.  I'd like to talk to you more about it.  Either way, I would
 like to make sure this is fixed for the 1.5 release of nmh.
